You know how the routine goes. These school hacks will have you believin you've been going about school all wrong, and these life lessons will make you feel every struggle is all worthwhile. Life lessons and school hacks come by the week. So stay tuned for all of my internet commentary!
Let's hop right into the fun part. The easy going, time saving life lessons. LIFE LESSON OF THE WEEK: Mind Your P's and Q's. Huh? You read correctly. Mind your P's and Q's.
What I mean by it is this, school is stressful when can all admit. There are deadlines that feel like they're coming by second, test every week for several classes, and stressing on if you are going to college or not plays a major roll as well. In this stressful period you may find yourself rushing from whether you waited last minute to do something or you just don't have anytime on you hands. You can easily overlook something and that can affected your grades negatively. For example, you ever took a math test and you were so close to a 100. Only problem is you forgot to carry your negative symbol and ended up doing the WHOLE equation wrong? Yea? Well that's an explain of minding your P's and Q's. Pay attention to detail. Always look thoroughly for mistakes, so you won't make as many.
This school hack is going to be a little different, I'm going to do a list. I know I mentioned in my last blog that the school hack was going to involve learning how to sneak food into class, but I've decided to address another serious issue teens struggle with. Balancing their life and maintaining their high GPA's. In the mist of trying to get valedictorian and having a social life as well, us teens often forget we must get some shut eye in order to function properly. SCHOOL HACK OF THE WEEK: How to fall asleep FAST when you CAN'T sleep.
1.) Many students suffer from extreme anxiety. Anxiety happens when you think you have to figure everything out all at once. More so anxiety can come at night and leave you up for hours stressing. One easy way to solve this is to try writing in a journal at night and getting everything off your chest. You'll feel so relieved you'll be ready for bed. If that doesn't work try buying a stress ball, but always remember to breathe. You're strong. You got this. Take it day by day.
2.) Did you know cherries are what's in charge of making your body's internal clock go "hey, go to sleep!". If you didn't now you know. If you are feeling restless in the night try grabbing a midnight snack. No, I'm not talking about junk food. Grab you some cherries or some cherry juice. Remember the more tart the better!
3.) Many of my readers will try to deny this fact, but lets accept it. At night many of us, including myself, get caught in the social media web at night and it leaves us up for hours when really we need to be sleep. Introduce your phone to airplane mode and go to sleep!
4.) It may not seem like a big deal, but trust me it is. Constantly checking the time to see how many hours or minutes you're losing of sleep makes you more frantic and you can't sleep frantically. Instead try placing your phone or alarm clock facing the opposite way of yourself. Then will you be able to focus on yourself and sleep.
5.) Lastly, if you're like most people and hate cherries then I have a solution for you. I don't like milk or cherries and many people say it helps you go to sleep. So what do you do? Warm tea with honey in it will help you go to sleep ASAP. Honey contains a sleeping serum, so you should definitely hop on that.
Alrighty, we've met the end folks. Thanks so much again for checking out my blog and reading it. once again, I hope this blog was EXTREMELY helpful for ALL my readers. FEEDBACK IS WELCOME ANYTIME! (@firstname.lastname@example.org) How does that saying go? "No press is bad press".
